High-risk activities (i.e. confined spaces entry, working at height or over water etc.) demand a higher degree of control than low or medium risk activities.  Occasionally, specialist safety teams are required to protect the clients' interests. This is especially so when contractors and sub-contractors need to be co-ordinated, to prevent unsafe practices developing and Safety Management Systems (SMS) being overridden.

IRM provide highly qualified personnel experienced in extrication, rescue and casualty handling, who will ensure:

• The task is undertaken in accordance with your safe systems of work
• Compliance with permits-to-work and sub-contractors’ method statements
• Work activity is pro-actively monitored to prevent dangerous activities and accidents
• The environment (e.g. air quality, water level etc.) is constantly monitored
• All sub-contractors equipment is suitable for the task
• Operatives are supported by the fittest and most able personnel
• The team is self-sufficient with the best breathing apparatus, rescue and First Aid packs
• All documentation for access control and incident logging is provided

When it comes to the rescue arrangements these are second to none and this level of safety back-up provides total peace of mind.

Please note: Personnel can also be provided for close protection, door stewarding and general security work from the team, thereby offering additional skills, at no extra cost.
